No voice unheard, no right ignored

The Government has produced a consultation paper with a variety of proposals to improve the lives of people with mental health needs, learning disabilities and autism. This comes in the light of all the reports arising from the Winterbourne View scandal. Family carers are invited to send in their comments by 29th May 2015. The link to this paper is  https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/strengthening-rights-for-people-with-learning-disabilities  It is a lengthy paper, with a large number of questions to which responses are invited. Please feel free to send in your response direct.

Because it looks like a daunting task, Inclusion North are organising an event on Wednesday 13th May 2015 in Leeds to give people the opportunity to respond as a group. It will be free of charge, and will run from 10.00am to 3.00pm. The flyer for this is attached. Please apply direct to them.
